This Privacy Policy applies to the Android application SimRoute (application ID com.simroute.gps).
Privacy contact: bxamlo@gmail.com
Depending on the features you use, SimRoute may process the device's precise or approximate location, route coordinates, saved routes, simulation state, speed and realism settings, language preferences, recently selected places, and guide/checklist state. These data are used to provide SimRoute's core functions.
SimRoute does not operate its own account system and does not upload saved routes or app settings to a SimRoute-operated server.
SimRoute requests Android location permission so it can read and display the device's real location when required, distinguish real and simulated positions, and restore the real position when the user resets a simulation. Real device location is processed by the app and Android/Google Play services according to the device's settings.
SimRoute does not request Android background-location permission.
Online requests are sent using encrypted HTTPS connections. The third-party service receiving a request can also receive standard network metadata such as the device's public IP address, request time and User-Agent.
router.project-osrm.org. See Project OSRM.bxamlo.github.io. This lets the app change geocoding or routing endpoints without an app update if a public provider requests a change. GitHub may receive normal web request metadata. See GitHub Privacy Statement.Data are processed only to provide app functionality: displaying maps, locating the device, simulating a user-selected position or route, searching for places, calculating routes, preserving app state, and keeping external-service endpoints configurable.
SimRoute does not include advertising SDKs, behavioural analytics, third-party marketing trackers, or a developer-operated analytics service. The developer does not sell user data.
Saved routes, recent places, settings and simulation state are stored locally on the device until you delete them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup and device-transfer features configured by the user and the operating system.
Some app data may be included in Android's cloud backup or device-to-device transfer. Checklist and guide-completion state is intentionally excluded so that a fresh installation can show the initial guidance again.
SimRoute does not control the retention periods of third-party services. Their own policies apply to information they receive.
Network requests made directly by SimRoute use HTTPS. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, but SimRoute is designed to avoid unnecessary collection and to keep primary user content on the device.
You can deny or revoke Android permissions in system settings. Some simulation functions will then be unavailable. You can delete saved routes inside SimRoute and can remove locally stored app data by using Android's app-storage controls or uninstalling the app.
This policy may be updated when SimRoute's features, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available at this URL and the “Last updated” date will be revised.
